IMPORTANT: Please read the instructions fully before attempting any removal. We don't cover any damage to your mount, rails, or vehicle. If you feel unsure or uneasy at attempting this procedure, do not attempt. Instead you can send the mount back to us to do the replacement for you.
Step 1:
Remove the mount from your vehicle.
Step 2:
Clamp the mount securely upside down into a vise. Use some rubber jaws to ensure the mount is not damaged.
Step 3:
Using a rubber mallet and a bald screwdriver (or similar) gently hammer out the old rail.
Step 4:
Remove the mount from the rail.
Step 5:
Insert the new rail into the mount. You might want to press it in place using the vise (using rubber jaws).
